At The Races, the UK and Ireland's largest and most
widely-distributed dedicated horseracing channel, today confirmed that it would
be launching its own broadband and mobile streaming division on July 1st.
The delivery of ATR's live 'Bet & Watch' and archive
racing content to bookmakers and other partners across broadband and mobile
platforms in the domestic and international markets is an increasingly
important area of business for ATR and its racecourse partners.
ATR has always managed the licensing process with
these customers directly but the technical delivery of this content has, since
2010, been undertaken by Perform Group and it is this function which is now
being brought in-house. The initiative has been in development for over a year
and has required significant resource and investment to get it to the launch
phase.
ATR will become the only dedicated racing service to
have its own proprietary streaming distribution business and is doing so at a
time when streams are at a record level and growing.

just over the way our racecourse partners' content is distributed but also our
ability to develop, extend and improve our service to customers in a fast
