CHELTENHAM INSPECTS AGAIN TOMORROW ABOUT NEW YEAR'S DAY



CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE UPDATE FOLLOWING THIS MORNING'S INSPECTION

Inspection - 3pm, Monday, December 31
Meeting: New Year's Day
Dates: Tuesday, January 1, 2013
Gates Open: 10.30am

Another inspection, at 3pm tomorrow, Monday, December 31, will determine whether Cheltenham Racecourse can hold its New Year's Day fixture on Tuesday, January 1.

The course was found to be unraceable at a 10am inspection today (Sunday, December 30).

The forecast is for a band of rain clearing mid-afternoon tomorrow, Monday. In the event that the rain misses Cheltenham, there is still a chance that the course will dry out sufficiently to allow racing to go ahead.

On that basis, a further inspection is scheduled for 3pm on Monday, December 31. That inspection may be brought forward if the situation becomes clearer before then.
