Frankel captured 95% of the public vote to replicate in the Horse
of the Series poll what he did so regularly in his races - win with consummate
ease.
The Prince Khalid Abdulla-owned colt, who won all 14 of his career
races including nine in the QIPCO British Champions Series, left Camelot (3%)
and Excelebration (2%) trailing in his wake.
"Frankel has made a seismic impression on the first two years
of the QIPCO British Champions Series, winning nine races when no other horse
has won more than two and generating vast amounts of coverage in this country
and around the world," said Series Chief Executive, Rod Street.
"On the days when he raced this season crowds were more than
20% up and now it's our task to utilise the impetus he has given British Flat
racing to encourage more people to become captivated by the magic of this great
sport."
