Prolific race mare Barefoot Lady heads a host of highlights in the Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale which takes place on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 November.


The catalogue is now available online at www.goffs.com and from Goffs on 045 886600.  The sale of premium Irish broodmares and fillies immediately follows the four day market leading November Foal Sale.

The four year old Barefoot Lady (Lot 1065) recently won the Grade 2 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine, adding to an impressive record that includes the Group 3 Nell Gwynn Stakes as well as being placed in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes.   The daughter of Footstepsinthesand is offered by Norman and Helen Steel from Richard Fahey’s Musley Bank Stables.  
Among the many stand out lots is Airlie Stud’s Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Chelsea Rose who is in foal to Tamayuz (Lot 1099) as well as the Galileo mare Oiche Ghealai who is a sister to Derby winner Soldier Of Fortune (Lot 1119) and in foal to Fastnet Rock, while the Stakes placed Treasure The Lady who is a half-sister to High Chaparral (Lot 1049) is also in foal to the Australian Champion sprinter.
New Approach has enjoyed a superb year and the Redmondstown Stud draft contains some exciting mares in foal to the leading first season sire including Cailiocht who is a half-sister to Champion two year old filly Maybe and is out of a sister to the dam of Classic winner Dancing Rain (Lot 1120), as well as the winning and Group placed Pivotal mare Kitty Kiernan who is out of an own sister to Spartacus and Johan Cruyff (Lot 1118).  Redmondstown also offer an own sister to Danehill who is the dam of this season’s Group 3 Acomb Stakes winner Dundonnell in foal to Teofilo (Lot 1117).
Other highlights include a strong draft from H.H. Aga Khan Studs that features Rayyana (Lot 1082) the dam of the Group 3 winner and Irish 2000 Guineas placed Rayeni who is offered in foal to Exceed And Excel.  Also on offer is the winning mare Wana Doo (Lot 1095) who is the dam of Group 2 winner Tornado; the Group 1 placed Miss Beabea (Lot 1063) who is the dam of Group 1 winner Miss Beatrix and is in foal to Invincible Spirit; Teo’s Sister who is a winning own sister to European Champion two year old Teofilo (Lot 1094) and is in foal to Lawman; the Listed placed Aris (Lot 1138) who is a sister to the Irish 1000 Guineas and Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Again and is out of a sister to Montjeu.  She is in foal to Acclamation.
Other notable lots are the Irish National Stud’s Group 3 winner Kuaicoss who is in foal to Holy Roman Emperor (Lot 1057), the Listed winning Miss Childrey who is the dam of Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed Forces Of Darkness in foal to Zoffany (Lot 1062), a winning sister to French Classic winner West Wind in foal to Shamardal (Lot 1109), a Storm Cat daughter of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Virginia Waters in foal to Danehill Dancer (Lot 1129), as well as Bounce who is the dam of the Listed winning Montjeu filly Bernieres and is in foal to the Derby winning son of Montjeu in Pour Moi (Lot 1146), and Skiphall who is the dam of Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes winner Folk Opera, in foal to Invincible Spirit (Lot 1149).

The impressive list of covering sires throughout the catalogue also includes Bushranger, Cape Cross, Dalakhani, Dark Angel, Dutch Art, Footstepsinthesand, High Chaparral, Holy Roman Emperor, Kyllachy, Lope de Vega, Mastercraftsman, Raven’s Pass, Rip Van Winkle, Rock Of Gibraltar, Royal Applause, Starspangledbanner, Thewayyouare, Vale Of York and Zebedee as well as new sires Canford Cliffs, Dream Ahead, Lilbourne Lad, Pour Moi, Roderic O’Connor and Zoffany.
The dams of five time Group 1 winner Danedream, Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Sky Lantern and multiple Group 1 winner Excelebration were purchased at the Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale for €21,000, €75,000 and €10,000 respectively, while in India this season’s Grade 1 winning fillies Vijay’s pride and Smashing were both purchased in utero at the sale.
