Black Caviar returned to the racetrack this morning for the first time her Royal Ascot win with an impressive trial at Sportingbet Park in Melbourne. In her customary style, last year's global sprint champion dominated her 'jump out' over 800m (just short of four furlongs) and cruised three lengths clear of her latest work companion. Her likely proper comeback is due to be in the Lightning Stakes (which has been renamed the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes) at Flemington next month.
