Geoff Oldroyd is hoping Alfred
Hutchinson can complete a hat-trick in the £19,000 Ladbrokes Conditions
Stakes (2.35pm) at Lingfield Park on Saturday, January 11. The mile contest is
a Fast-Track Qualifier for the £150,000 Ladbrokes Mile over the same course and
distance on All-Weather Championships Finals Day, Good Friday, April 18.
Alfred Hutchinson comes
into the race on the back of a decisive three quarters of length success in a
mile handicap at Lingfield Park on December 30. The six-year-old had previously
captured a mile conditions contest over the same course and distance nine days
earlier, beating Emerald Wilderness (Mark Rimmer) by a length.
Oldroyd reported:
"Alfred Hutchinson is in good nick and has come out of his win at
Lingfield very well.
"I thought it was a
good performance last time because that's how he wants to be ridden - he likes
to be covered up in a true-run race so he can use his turn of foot.
"Robert Tart gets a
good tune out of him and Alfred Hutchinson certainly wouldn't be without a
chance on Saturday. He loves the surface and the quick mile at Lingfield really
suits him.
"The long term aim is
All-Weather Championships Finals Day and it would be great if we could pull it
off on Saturday."
Alfred Hutchinson will
face six rivals, headed by multiple Listed-placed mare Galician (Mark
Johnston), Polytrack specialist Chookie Royale (Keith Dalgleish)and last
year's Winter Derby runner-up Robins Hood Bay (Ed Vaughan).
The line up is completed
by Emerald Wilderness, Georgian Bay (Karl Burke) and Grey Mirage
(Marco Botti).
The Ladbrokes Conditions
Stakes is the sixth Fast-Track Qualifier of the All-Weather Championships.
Lingfield Park's
seven-race card on Saturday gets underway at 12.20pm and concludes at 3.45pm.
The next Fast-Track
Qualifier of the All-Weather Championships is the £19,000 Winners Are Welcome
At Betdaq Conditions Stakes (6.25pm) at Kempton Park on Wednesday, January 15.
Kempton's card runs from 4.25pm to 7.25pm.
A total of 10 entries have
been received for the six furlong contest, headed by the smart Alutiq
(Eve Johnson Houghton), who was last seen finishing seventh in the Group One
Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket in September.
Exciting Irish import Golden
Amber could make her debut for Dean Ivory, while impressive Wolverhampton
maiden victor Captain Myles (Tim Pitt) and the progressive Ticking
Katie (Karl Burke) are also engaged.
The winner will be a
guaranteed a free start in the £150,000 32Red.com Three-Year-Old Championship
