Trainer James Toller is
hoping that leading apprentice Robert Tart can spark a change of luck with Loving
Spirit in the £100,000 Cash Out Multiples Only On Betfair International
Handicap at Ascot on Saturday, July 27.
The five-year-old, a 20/1
chance for the seven-furlong heritage handicap with Betfair Sportsbook, has
posted three excellent efforts over the same course and distance, including
when coming home sixth in the Buckingham Palace Handicap at Royal Ascot on June
21.
He was denied a clear run
in the Victoria Cup on May 11, in which he finished eighth, and went down by a
head to subsequent Group Three scorer Jack Dexter in a valuable apprentices'
handicap on Champions Day in October.
Toller reported today:
"Loving Spirit is an intended runner at Ascot and, the more rain they get,
the happier I will be. He seems very well at the moment but I think that he is
better with a bit of cut in the ground.
"Good to firm ground
wasn't ideal for him in the Buckingham Palace Stakes, but he still ran a very
sound race, and he didn't get a run when he needed it in the Victoria Cup.
"The plan is for
Robert Tart to take 5lb off him, which should hopefully help. Loving Spirit has
never run a bad race at Ascot - he was beaten by a very good horse on Champions
Day and we were in front a stride after the line.
"He hasn't been the
luckiest horse and he could do with things falling right for once. He keeps
running consistently and I would like to hope that he returns to Ascot with a
good chance."
Diescentric is Betfair Sportsbook's
8/1 favourite for the Cash Out Multiples Only On Betfair International Handicap
following a pair of impressive handicap wins at Doncaster and Newcastle.
Britannia Handicap third Queensberry
Rules is an 11/1 chance, with Buckingham Palace Handicap victor
Lightning Cloud, Prince Of Johanne, last season's Cash Out Multiples
Only On Betfair International Handicap scorer Field Of Dream, Dream
Tune and Ashaadd all 12/1. Betfair Sportsbook is paying 1/4 odds for
the first five places.

aged over four to win the Ascot highlight since 1999.
German challenger
Novellist is the current joint-second favourite at 9/2 for the midsummer
highlight and Johnny Murtagh, who has been in excellent form this season and
was on board the Irish Oaks winner, Chicquita, last weekend, has been booked by
trainer Andreas Wohler.
Trading Leather is also a

Betfair spokesman Barry
