Sophia Brudenell appointed as new Communications Manager for South West Region of The Jockey Club

  

The Jockey Club is pleased to announce Sophia Brudenell has been appointed as the new Communications Manager for the South West Region of Jockey Club Racecourses, to work on the communications strategy for Cheltenham, Wincanton, Warwick and Exeter Racecourses.

cheltenhamnologoSophia has spent the last six years working at JSC Sport as a Senior Account Manager. She has worked with a variety of clients in that time, including the press management, sponsorship activation on behalf of Investec and PR for the Investec Derby Festival, the PR for Sandown Park Racecourse, event management for The Property Race Day and the PR for Tattersalls in Newmarket. She has also helped out with the representation side of JSC Sport.

The Jockey ClubIan Renton, Regional Director - South West of Jockey Club Racecourses, commented: "I am delighted that Sophia will be joining the team in the South West Region of Jockey Club Racecourses.

"She brings with her a wealth of experience in working with racecourses in their PR, social media and communications strategy around high-profile events, especially in regards to her work on the Investec Derby over the past few years.

"She takes over the role from Andy Clifton, who has been a stalwart at Cheltenham over the past six years, for which I would like to thank him. We wish him all the best in his new role at the Hong Kong Jockey Club."

Sophia Brudenell added: "I am thrilled to be joining the team in the South West Region of Jockey Club Racecourses.

"It is a fantastic opportunity, especially with the exciting new £45m Cheltenham grandstand development over the next couple of years and I am very much looking forward to starting next month."

Sophia will commence work at Cheltenham Racecourse on Monday, August 19.
