GOING CHANGE FOR THIRD DAY OF ROYAL ASCOT

The going at Royal Ascot for the third day has changed to

GOOD TO FIRM

royalascot2013from Good to Firm, Good in places yesterday following another dry night.

Chris Stickels, Clerk of the Course, said at 9am: "There is a chance of showers today but only a chance. I think that it is a similar theme for tomorrow - a chance of a few showers.

"On Saturday, the likelihood grows again of rain but I think that the forecast has been so volatile that we cannot really be sure.

"There is a chance we might water tonight. If it does stay dry today and if there is only a risk of small scattered showers tomorrow, then we will probably put a bit of water on after racing."
