Aidan O'Brien, Mahmood Al Zarooni, James Fanshawe, Marcus
Tregoning and Hughie Morrison assess their chances of victory at the
climax to the QIPCO British Champions Series
BCS TV presented by the Armchair Jockeys
today delivers its final instalment of the year, previewing the five
championship races, headed by Frankel's last hurrah in the QIPCO Champion
Stakes, on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday.
Regular pundits Lydia Hislop, Rishi Persad
and Steve Mellish start by putting Frankel into historical
context through Brigadier Gerard and Dancing Brave.
A
preview and analysis of the QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup follows
when we hear from Mahmood Al Zarooni, who is hopeful that Opinion Poll will be
at his best after a summer's break, and Marcus Tregoning, who is looking
forward to trying Hawaafez over two miles again.
The
QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes preview and analysis is next up, with
James Fanshawe believing that Society Rock was over the top in last year's
edition of the race and thinks he is in much better form this time around.
Next up
is the QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes. Despite a long hard
season, Hughie Morrison thinks Shirocco Star's toughness will give her every
chance of running a big race, while Aidan O'Brien is confident that Was is
still in very good form.
Then
come the big two. First up is the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Europe's richest
mile race, and we hear that Aidan O'Brien's Excelebration, so often the
bridesmaid behind Frankel in the past, is in great heart after his win in
France in August.
Finally
the team preview the QIPCO Champion Stakes and we hear again from Aidan
O'Brien, who thinks that Declaration Of War is an exciting horse as he faces a
showdown with three of the top four turf horses in the world this year,
Frankel, Cirrus des Aigles and Nathaniel.
