Trainer Sir Henry Cecil
will bring Frankel to the Rowley Mile for a gallop at 8.30am tomorrow
morning (Wednesday, October 10). Frankel will exercise with stablemate Bullet
Train as part of his build-up to the QIPCO Champion Stakes at Ascot on
October 20.
Michael Prosser,
director of racing at Newmarket Racecourses, said: "We are currently
enjoying a beautiful autumnal day and the ground is good to soft with a
Going-Stick reading of 6.9
"The forecast is
for Wednesday to be dry. It is also predicted to be dry for much of Thursday
before a band of rain is anticipated late afternoon. That should have gone
through by dawn on Friday."
SECTIONAL
TIMING FOR DUBAI FUTURE CHAMPIONS DAY
Newmarket Racecourses is
once again delighted to have the Sectional Timing and Tracking System in place
for Dubai Future Champions Day.
Michael Prosser,
director of racing at Newmarket Racecourses, said: "We have long been
staunch advocates of the benefits of STATS. The data provided is important in
analysing races of Saturday's calibre - not least because many of the horses
running will be returning here next spring for Classic trials and the QIPCO
Guineas Festival."
Mike Maher, managing
director of TurfTrax, said: "Provision to include this fixture in the
STATS deployment schedule was made by QIPCO British Champions Series and
Newmarket Racecourses because of the relevance of the data this year and to
benchmark the performance of horses that will go on to compete in the 2013
series.
"Taking ground
conditions into consideration, analysts of speed and time data will be able to
draw valuable comparisons between the likes of Camelot and Homecoming Queen and
the potential stars of next year's QIPCO Guineas Festival as they put their
Classic credentials on show.
"In addition to the
day's six Group races, the Betfred Cesarewich Stakes provides a unique
challenge. With a maximum field of 34 expected for the historic two and a
quarter mile handicap that stretches across two counties, this will be a real
opportunity to demonstrate the robustness and versatility of the Sectional
Timing and Tracking System."
