Goodwood's leading trainer Richard Hannon has moved on to 249 winners at the
track after a memorable treble yesterday. The handler, who has had five winners
so far at Glorious Goodwood 2013, will be represented in four of today's seven
races.
* Champion jockey Richard
Hughes is bearing down on 150 winners at Goodwood. He is on 146, including 46
at the Glorious meeting, and has five mounts today.
* Newmarket trainer Luca
Cumani has sent out 99 winners at Goodwood (including 37 at the Glorious
meeting). He has two runners today, headlined by Mount Athos in the Group Two
Artemis Goodwood Cup (3.15pm).
* Altano is bidding to
become first German-trained winner of the Artemis Goodwood Cup. The
seven-year-old is trained by Andreas Wohler and will be ridden by four-time
German champion Eduardo Pedroza.

A record number of 15
fillies and mares will go to post for the £200,000 Group One Markel Insurance
Nassau Stakes on the final day of Glorious Goodwood, Saturday, August 3. The
line-up features QIPCO 1000 Guineas one-two Sky Lanternand Just The Judge,Oaks
runner-up Secret Gesture, and the unbeaten Integral.
The previous record was 11
runners, achieved in 2005, 1985, 1982 and 1981.
