TWO-DAY BAN FOR HUGHES @Goodwood_Races

Jockey Richard Hughes picked-up a two-day ban (Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18) following his winning ride on Pether's Moon in the RAC Handicap.

The stewards found Hughes guilty of careless riding in that he had interfered with the unplaced Royal Signaller. This was due to the fact he manoeuvred through an insufficient gap.

It was also held by the stewards that Hughes' mount had interfered with fourth-placed Van Percy in that he manoeuvred left and took Van Percy off its intended line. He was cautioned as to his future conduct in races.
