Keeping Majestic Moon at
the head of affairs has proved his key and the three-year-old landed third
consecutive victory from the front in a thrilling finish to the Tatler
Handicap. "It's given him a new lease of life," said rider Paul
Hanagan. "He loves it in front and he's very difficult to pass."
It was only by a nose,
though, that Pythagorean failed to do so.
"Majestic Moon got a
bit keen and lit up when we tried to hold him up," said trainer Richard
Fahey, "so I said to the boys to just let him run.
"I thought the second
had won when the horses went by the winning post and was relieved at the result
of the photo."
Majestic Moon is a
half-brother by Majestic Missile to the Fahey yard's classy juvenile Parbold,
third in Wednesday's Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes.
